Clarence “Ret” Favret attended The Saint Paul School in Covington, Louisiana; The University of San Francisco; and Louisiana State University Law School graduating in 1979 with a Juris Doctor.

He has practiced in the New Orleans region for over 38 years concentrating in commercial, construction and personal injury litigation, business counseling and commercial transactions.

Mr. Favret is rated AV, the highest professional rating designated for practicing attorneys. He has tried over 50 jury and several hundred non-jury trials in state and federal courts throughout the State of Louisiana; has been admitted pro hac vice in all contiguous states, Missouri, Washington, D.C., and New York; and has appeared and argued in all Louisiana state and federal appeals courts including the Louisiana Supreme Court and U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeal.

Mr. Favret has moderated CLE seminars regarding trial evidence and commercial transactions and has spoken at numerous private functions regarding the practice of law and its role as a positive force in the community. He is a contributing author to Professor Paul Bauer’s “The Pocket Constitutionalist”.

Currently, Mr. Favret’s practice concentrates in commercial and construction transactions, business counseling, and representation of business and licensed professionals.

Mr. Favret has been an active member and supporter of many charitable causes. He is married to Anne McCune Favret, has four children, and two golden retrievers.
